How To Explain & Choose the Right Outreach For Your Crew

WHAT KIND OF CREW DO YOU LEAD?

My husband and I lead a virtual Co-ed crew that gathers to discuss the Sunday message

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR CREW EACH WEEK?

  1. Practically

  2. Spiritually

WHAT DO YOU MEAN PRACTICALLY?

We make sure we’ve attended service or viewed it online prior to the actual crew meeting day.  We print out and review the crew guide for that week in advance so that we have an understanding of what the Church wants us to highlight. It’s a good baseline and resource albeit as the season progresses, we certainly go off script.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN SPIRITUALLY?

  1. My husband will ask the Holy Spirit to give him a word or a perspective of Pastor's message that will directly minister to a member or members of the group.

  2.  I often pray that the spirit moves freely and authentic connections are made.

HOW DO YOU DEMONSTRATE TO YOUR CREWS THE IMPORTANCE OF INVITING THE HOLY SPIRIT INTO THEIR LIVES AND THE MOMENT?

We always open and close our crew with prayer.
